Event Description
TaKe-On Productions presented "Battle at Bally's 3" from the Bally's Casino and Hotel in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The event featured 12 hard-hitting full Muay Thai rules bouts with bone-rattling strikes and back and forth action.

In the headlining fight, Chris "The Doctor" Williams (18-3) defeated Omar Estevez (8-5) via unanimous decision. It was a back and forth fight for the full 5 rounds and despite the unanimous decision by Williams, it could have gone either way. Estevez was the aggressor for a good percentage of the fight, especially in the last two rounds, landing knee, rights hands and left hooks and even dropped Williams at one point. Williams was confident in the early going, even showboating in the first round, where it might have backfired as it got Estevez even more focused. In the early rounds, Williams was the busier fighter, and his strike count added up, even though Estevez might have landed the more damaging strikes at times, including in the clinch. In the end, it was Williams' workmanlike performance that saw him win rounds by accumulating punches and kicks from a distance which were easy for the judges to score in his favor. During the post-fight interview, Williams was booed, but to his credit he remained classy and gave credit to Estevez as being a tough competitor. For Estevez, it was a strong showing and probably one of the best performances in his career, even in defeat.

In the co-main event, in the 175 lb weight class, Georgui Smaguin (6-2-1) defeated Brian Hansen (5-2) via unanimous decision. Smaguin was coming into the bout after two back to back title fights against Jason Van Oijen, where Smaguin showed the heart of a lion. In this bout, Smaguin landed some solid punches and kicks in the early going while Hansen used his height advantage (standing 6'4") to land strikes from a distance. Smaguin blocked a lot of the head kicks thrown by Hansen, but Hansen did manage to land a few low kicks that took Smaguin's legs out from under him. Smaguin scored with more punches and kicks in the final round, while Hansen landed a wider variety of punches, kicks, clinch work, sweeps, etc. In the end, it was Smaguin's connection rate as he scored the victory after 3 hard-fought wins by both competitors.

The crowd was packed and jazzed up for this event and showed why Muay Thai is quickly becoming the #1 combative striking sport in the world.
