Event Description

Not only did Teon Kennedy (18-2-2) return from 7 days shy of a year layoff but he moved up to weight classes for his Main Event showdown with Carlos Vivan (10-10-5) LIVE WORLDWIDE on!

Kennedy, who was plagued by ring rust early, was able to shake it off and cruise past the very durable and game Vivan. Vivan was just no match for Teon's speed and accuracy. At the end of 10 rounds the judges scored the fight 98-91 & 99-90 x2 in favor of Teon Kennendy via Unanimous Decision.

Kennedy, who came up fighting on, dropped his previous fight for the Super Bantamweight title to Guillermo Rigondeaux. He has blamed his struggles making weight for his past loses but feels good at Jr Lightweight. This win could help springboard another run a his dream of becoming champion.

In the co-feature Jason Sosa (9-1-3) took on Georgi Kevlishvili (12-6) in what was a hell of a fight while it lasted. Kevlishvili started off early trying to consistently trap the powerful Sosa in the ropes. In the 2nd round Kevlishvili, was able to score a knockdown after Sosa switched to southpaw. Then in the 4th round, Sosa switched his gameplan by refusing to follow Kevlishvili and forcing the fight on the inside. Finally Sosa caught Kevlishvili sending him to the canvas. Even though he beat the count, he did not seem able to continue so the ref called a halt to the action at the 2:21 mark of Round 4. For you winner via TKO, Jason Sosa.

Ismael Garcia (5-0) remained undefeated against heavy handed Alando Swain (5-3). Garcia proved he could punch in the 6th round when he stopped Swain at the 2:22 mark of the 6th and final round to claim a hard fought victory. Garcia, replaced fellow Millville native Thomas LaManna whe LaManna was forced to pull out due to a hand injury in training.

Amateur standout Jesse "Hard Work" Hart (7-0) made very short work of his opponent Thomas Turner (3-0). Hart knocked Turner down early then destroyed Turner, who stayed on his feet, until the ref intervened at the 2:15 mark of Round 1 awarding the fight to Jesse Hart via TKO.

Rounding up the card Daniel Pasciolla (0-1) dropped his pro debut to Dante Selby (1-0-1) via Unanimous Decision. Also Sultahn Staton (2-0) stopped Sidell Blocker (1-6-1) in the very first round. Finally, Anthony Burgin (4-0) defeated Nuwan Jayakody (1-1) via 4 round Unanimous Decision.
