PRIME Wrestling made its debut on GFL.tv with the iPPV "Wrestlelution 5 - An Enduring Spirit" and brought the house down with a 4+ hour show at the Jacobs Pavilion in Cleveland, Ohio. For the first time, wrestling fans worldwide got to see what PRIME Wrestling is all about. The future of the sport. With the hottest prospects in the prime of their careers showcased by a wrestling promotion that stresses action, athleticism and drama inside the squared circle.
In the main event, Johnny Gargano defeated Jimmy Jacobs to capture the PRIME Wrestling Heavyweight Championship as the two tore the house down brick by brick in a match that had them wrestling and fighting throughout the building including the ring, outside the ring, on top of a balcony and even at the merchandise booth. Gargano and Jacobs took an insane amount of punishment in this match which even spilled over to the referees, ring announcer and time keeper as this match was like a raging fireball and anyone that got close was bound to get burned. The finish saw Jacobs try and use a variety of weapons inside the ring including a chair and finally violently swinging a camera to turn Gargano's lights out. Gargano sidestepped the attack and gave Jacobs a superkick for his troubles. Then with the referee still unconscious, turnabout is fair play, and Gargano used the same camera to crush Jacobs in the head. Gargano then followed up with a Hurts Donut finisher for the pinfall to become the new PRIME Wrestling Heavyweight Champion.
In the co-main event, a bloody Krimson defeated Matt Mason in a No Disqualification Match. This bout wasn't for the faint of heart as the match was vicious and there was an assortment of weapons used throughout the grueling bout including chairs, broken glass and thumbtacks. Krimson and Mason both showed the battle wounds from this match as Krimson spilled so much blood it was hard to make out his facial features and Mason's back was covered in tacks that pierced his flesh. After the match, Krimson looked to finish Mason off permanently, but Mason's wife, Jamie, intervened to try and stop the punishment. It didn't work, but at the last second Matt pushed his wife out of the way and took another full on chair shot to the head from Krimson, but in doing so kept his wife safe.
In other action, Michael Facade defeated Gory to retain the PRIME Wrestling TV Championship in a Casket Match. It didn't look good for Facade when Gory spit mist in his eyes as Facade teetered next to the casket. Gory followed that up with a frankensteiner that sent Facade into the casket, but the casket lid remained open giving Facade a chance. Gory closed the casket but Facade still had one hand outside keeping him alive in the match. When Gory came back to finish the job, Facade spray painted Gory in the face and dropped him head first with a version of a pile driver into the casket and closed the casket to retain his title.
Former ECW World Champion and WWE and TNA vet Rhino was also in action as well as former TNA X Division Champion Petey Williams of Team Canada fame competing in separate matches.
