IZW Adrenaline: Nov 9, 2013: Full Event

Event Description
"IZW Adrenaline" returned to GFL.tv with another blistering episode of top notch wrestling as the feuds and grudges between the IZW wrestlers continue to boil over. If you missed the show live, no problem as "IZW Adrenaline" is now FREE on GFL.tv every Saturday night and can also be watched on GFL On Demand in the days and weeks following the event!

To open the show, Impact Elite made their way down to the ring to gloat and showboat in front of the IZW World as the IZW Title, the IZW Impact Division Title and the IZW Tag Titles were now all in the possession of an Impact Elite member. Referee Mark Wilson (@bsstallion) also joined Impact Elite in the ring as its newest member after Wilson was part of a double cross at "Halloween Hangover" that saw him kick â??Big Businessâ?? Damon Windsor (@DamonWindsor) in the nether regions which led to IZW Champion "The Natural Born Leader" Johnny Z (@NBL_JohnnyZ) successfully defending his title in a Casket Match. Wilson renounced himself as IZW's lead referee citing he could not "raise expectations" nor "gain status" as a lowly referee. Windsor strolled out to the onstage ramp and demanded another shot at Z for the IZW Title. This brought out the winner of the Monsters Bash Battle Royal and new #1 Contender "Worst in the World" Copycat (@CopycatWrestler). Copycat let it be known that he was next in line to wrestle Johnny Z because he had "earned" the shot, not just demanded it like Windsor was doing. Windsor took exception to Copy's words and then Erica made a match between the two for later that night in the main event. Erica also threw in a huge stipulation that if Windsor won the match he would be the new #1 Contender and face Johnny Z at "Chaotic Christmas" on December 21 for the IZW Title. Not to be outdone, Co-Commissioner "The Number 1" Shawn McHale arrived on the scene and made a match on the spot with Z wrestling The Bronze Bull (@BronzeBull_AN) in a non-title match as the opening bout of the night.

Z wanted no part of wrestling in the beginning as he stayed on the outside of the ring stretching, jawing with the fans and finding any reason not to step in the ring and lock up with The Bronze Bull. Bull finally had enough and brought Z into the ring the hard way then gave the Champion two eye pokes, bit him in the face and choked him with the ropes. Bull hammered away at Z in the corner by dropping a series of right hands and biting Z once again followed by a spinebuster in the middle of the ring. Z managed to catch his wind after he tossed Bull out of the ring where Mark Wilson gave Bull a cheap shot with the championship belt. Once the in ring action resumed, Z connected with a big boot but missed with a bulldog from the second rope as Bull reversed the move hitting a side suplex. Later, Z ducked a discus punch and landed a perfect floatover DDT. Bull flipped out of the ring while going for a flying clothesline and was once again smashed in the head by Wilson with the championship belt. Bull staggered up as Z recovered in the ring. Johnny Z connected with a rope-hung DDT but Bull returned fire with a spear shortly after. With Bull distracted by Wilson, Z hit his second rope bulldog but only got a two-count. Z then missed with his finisher, the Big Boot in the Corner, getting hung up on the top rope where The Bronze Bull added insult to injury by shaking the top rope up and down doing damage to Z's family jewels. Bull connected with a Greetings From Mt Olympus and picked up the pinfall scoring a victory over the IZW Champion in a non-title match.

New Impact Division Champion "The Image of Fear" Kevin Morgan (@TheImageofFear) had his first title defense against Montego Seeka (@montegoseeka) next. Morgan showed off some technical skill in the beginning as he grabbed a figure four arm lock and bent Seeka backwards with it and even got a pin count until Seeka broke free. Not to be outdone, Seeka snatched a side head lock seconds later but Morgan broke free in the corner and connected with several uppercuts. Morgan punished Seeka some more with head butts and multiple forearms to the chest and back. Morgan caught a kick by Seeka, but Seeka used the positioning to connect with an enziguri kick that buckled Morgan. Seeka followed up with four drop kicks that finally got Morgan off of his feet. Seeka jumped from the top rope but was caught midair by Morgan and given a full force Detonator as Morgan made the easy cover after that.

IZW Tag Team Champion "Larger Than Life" Jermaine Johnson (@JermaineAboutME) battled "The Captain of the Force" Double D (@IZWDoubleD) in a heated match next. Johnson and Double D went hold for hold in the beginning showing off their respective scientific wrestling base as they traded lock ups, takedowns, go behinds and scrambles. Johnson switched it up with a knee to the stomach as Double D countered with punches in the corner. Johnson hit a body slam and clubbed D down with forearms to the back of the neck and upper back. Johnson whipped D into the ropes but D countered with a spinning heel kick and connected with a high cross body outside of the ring moments later. Back in the ring, D cinched on an arm ringer as Johnson begged for mercy. Johnson worked his way out of the hold and snatched an arm ringer of his own in impressive fashion but D turned the tables again as Johnson went flying head over heels back down to the mat with his arm all twisted up thanks to Double D. Johnson finally broke free and hit a side suplex using only one arm followed by a baseball slide drop kick to D's head. D regrouped and was able to plant Johnson down with a Force chop after unleashing several chops to Johnson's bare chest moments earlier. D went up for a high crossbody but Johnson connected with a belly to belly suplex off the top rope instead. Johnson followed that up with a superplex from the top rope. Johnson missed an ES2 as his arm was still injured from the damage it took earlier in the bout when D was twisting and pulling on it. Double D then used Johnson's big miss to turn the tide in his favor as he scored a huge high crossbody that sent Johnson down on his backside for a count of three as Double D picked up the win in a dizzying back and forth match.

Former referee turned mouthpiece/manager Mark Wilson strapped on the wrestling boots to take on "The Brass Bull" Bobby Starr (@thegods_bs) in singles competition. Starr had his back and torso wrapped up as he was still nursing the injuries he sustained at "Halloween Hangover" from What Wrestling Should Be. Wilson was content to poke Starr in the eyes then scurry out of the ring. Starr followed and was in hot pursuit until Jermaine Johnson, who accompanied Wilson down to the ring, nearly decapitated Starr with a clothesline. Johnson then tossed Starr into the steel steps but was immediately tossed out of the wrestling ring area by the referee. Even with Johnson in the back now, the damage was already done as Wilson and Starr returned to the ring and Wilson went after Starr's badly injured lower back with elbows. But Starr wouldn't stay down, as he gave Wilson a perfect spear that dropped the "Butterscotch Stallion". Starr went for a Greetings From Mt Olympus but his back gave out and Wilson seized the opportunity rolling up Starr, while using the ropes for leverage, and getting the pin.

In the main event, "Worst in the World" Copycat battled "Big Business" Damon Windsor. After a quick lockup, Windsor broke free and went for a choke slam but was defended by Copycat who looked for a Doppelganger which Windsor guarded against. It was clear these two were looking to end one another's night early with a bang. Copycat tried to hit Windsor's famous back elbows in the corner but was thwarted with overhand rights as Windsor dropped Copy like a ton of bricks. Copy followed up with a Thesz Press then whipped Windsor into the corner where things backfired for him as he took a big boot then a body slam by the bigger, stronger Windsor. Windsor showed Copycat how it was done as he unloaded with his patented back elbows in the corner as Copy once again found himself on the mat. Windsor slapped on a front face lock but Copy broke free and finally sent Windsor down to the canvas with a kick to the face. Copy then went to work on Windsor's base, as Copy wrenched away at Windsor's knee and ankle. Windsor fought back to his feet and after getting dumped on his head by a hurricanrana from Copycat, Windsor managed to find a way to move out of the way of a flying elbow drop as Copycat crashed and burned. After a clothesline, Windsor sunk in a reverse chin lock when Copycat countered with a jaw breaker, a double arm DDT and a Face Mob knee drop. But the cerebral Windsor had scouted Copycat well and knew the Doppelganger was coming next as he sidestepped the move and gave Copycat a sidewalk slam. A suplex by Windsor added more trauma to Copycat's spine. Windsor whipped Copycat into the ropes but Copycat sprung back with a flying shoulder block that dropped Windsor once again. As both men dug down to the bottom of the well, Copycat rose to his feet first and delivered a moonsault from the second rope only to get a two-count! Windsor stood up and nearly connected with a spinning side slam, until Copycat countered and showed tremendous strength in hoisting Windsor onto his shoulders looking for a Death Valley Driver. Windsor broke free and finally connected with his spinning side slam. Windsor looked to punch Copycat's ticket with a choke slam but that's when Impact Elite rushed the ring and began to stomp a mud hole in both Windsor and Copycat causing the ref to rule the bout a no contest. Windsor and Copycat were able to get payback as Windsor gave Jermaine Johnson a choke slam while Copycat hit a Doppelganger on Kevin Morgan. The fact still remains, the #1 Contender Match was ruined by Impact Elite as Johnny Z laughed at the melee in the ring as the show ended. No matter who Z faces at "Chaotic Christmas" he is still in the driver's seat.
