Warriors Cup XIV

Weapons 9 Promotions delivered another full contact Muay Thai event to the Tri-State area with "Warriors Cup XIV" a 15 bout card, at the Rahway Rec Center in Rahway, New Jersey and to a worldwide audience via GFL.tv. Warriors Cup events have quickly carved out a popular niche for themselves on the Eastern seaboard as the place to see great standup fighting. In the main event, Flavio Brito and Stephen Regman fought to a majority draw. Both Brito and Regman put on a show for the fans and a majority draw was probably the right call in this situation even though it is not usually the ending most fans want. Brito scored points off of his accuracy but Regman was always pushing the pace and managed to damage Brito too. Maybe these two warriors can do it again and settle the score.

In the co-main event, Rich Brattole defeated Romain Gaston by unanimous decision. It was a strong showing for Brattole who was convincing in victory. He defeated a tough opponent in Gaston and this bout should only further his career in Muay Thai. Gaston was game throughout the bout, but it was Brattole's night as he landed more strikes and did more damage. Brattole's conditioning also played a part in it as he seemed one step ahead of Gaston for most of the evening.
