Siam Fight Productions Jr Muay Thai Grand Prix
Siam Fight Productions Jr Muay Thai Grand Prix: Full Event
TEMPE, Arizona - On March 16th, 2013 history will be made at Tempe Center for the Arts when North America's top youth Muay Thai fighters battle for a trip to Thailand and to win the Siam Cup. Youth fighters such as "Tuzo" Cruz of Mexico and John Bruer of Arizona among many others from Canada and other parts of the U.S. will be competing in this pay per view event, where GFL.tv will be streaming the event live around the globe. The sport of Muay Thai kickboxing is growing at a tremendous rate in the United States, and it is time for a show of this caliber to be brought to Tempe. This is the first event of its kind at the Tempe Center for the Arts, and they are excited to be hosting this show. The event starts at 7pm on March 16th, and tickets are available at www.siamfightproductions.com.
"We will be sending the winner of this tournament to train at world-renowned Sitsongpeenong camp, which is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We wanted to give these kids a place to show their skills and ability in a professional and safe environment. Many adult fighters never get a chance to perform at a venue as nice as Tempe Center for the Arts, so this will be very special for the young fighters and their families" says Siam Fight Productions owner and Muay Thai trainer Thiago Azeredo of Chandler, Arizona.
Siam Fight Productions will be sending the winner of the upcoming elimination-style tournament to train at Sitsongpeenong Camp in Bangkok, Thailand, where they will be surrounded by some of the world's greatest fighters and receive instruction from some of the sport's best coaches. Siam Fight Productions emphasis is all about the kids in this sport, and has filled the need for America's young Muay Thai fighters when others have let them down. It is a fact that Muay Thai builds confidence and self-esteem as well as self-discipline, respect, concentration and courtesy in our youth.
About Muay Thai
Muay Thai, which literally translates to English as "Thai Boxing," is widely considered to be the toughest stand-up sport in the world and is known as the "king of the ring" in most kickboxing circles. Also referred to as the "art of eight limbs," Muay Thai bouts feature punches, kicks, elbows, knees as well as standing grappling and throws. Muay Thai training develops devastating power, speed and superb cardio-vascular endurance as well as an indomitable fighting spirit. Thanks to sophisticated methods that allow fighters to stay healthy between matches, Muay Thai training is also incredibly safe. Additionally, Muay Thai has even proven to be effective outside of the ring and its techniques have come to play a prominent role in many self-defense, military and law enforcement academies.
