Event Description
The International Fight Showdown presented another great night of fights with IFS 9 - Clash of Kings at the Industry Hills Expo Center in Industry, California. The stacked event featured a mixture of Muay Thai and MMA with 12 total bouts highlighted by 4 TITLE FIGHTS with 2 Muay Thai Championship bouts and 2 MMA Championship bouts up for grabs.

In the main event of the night, Ben "Blitzkrieg" Jones defeated Miguel Cosio by rear naked choke in Round 1 to become the IFS Pro-1 Champion in MMA. Jones landed a huge right hand seconds into the bout that dropped Cosio to the ground. Jones followed Cosio to the mat and secured the back of Cosio and applied the winning submission hold for the victory.

In the co-main event of the night, Sheldon Gaines defeated Dillon Croushorn by knockout in Round 2 in a Muay Thai battle that was Fight of the Night. Gaines was vicious with the elbows he threw the entire night, landing several hard shots to Croushorn's head in the opening round. Gaines continued on the same path landing more elbows in Round 2 where he was able to put Croushorn away for good dropping him to the mat where the referee stopped the bout. Both men engaged in relentless Muay Thai from the opening bell until the end of the fight which was a barnburner.

In another title bout of the night, Adan Gonzales defeated Jason Parks by unanimous decision in a Muay Thai contest to be crowned IFS Cup Champion in the Middleweight Division. It was a striking clinic as both Gonzales and Parks came to fight, but Gonzales landed the cleaner and more effective strikes throughout the fight to pick up the decision.
