Event Description
Cage Fight: Tri-State One proved to be a great debut show for the upstart MMA promotion. The 11-bout card was stacked with exciting fighters, mostly in the lighter weights, which meant high octane, nonstop action. The card was full of jaw dropping finishes and close decisions. Hailing from Matamoras, Pennsylvania this event showed how deep the talent on the East Coast is as there was a great mixture of professional and amateur rising prospects.

In the main event, crowd favorite Mike "the Cannon" Bannon (1-0) was successful in his pro debut as he beat Aaron Carter (1-2) by rear naked choke in Round 1 in an exciting lightweight battle. It was mainly a grappling match as Bannon hounded Carter until he got the takedown. From there, Bannon rode Carter's back trying to get his hooks in and once he did Bannon locked up the fight ending submission for the tapout victory. The crowd came unglued as Bannon jumped up on the cage and soaked up the celebration. This bout definitely sent the crowd home happy as their hometown hero was victorious.

In the co-main event, Tuan "Kid Thunder" Pham (4-4) defeated Dave Morgan (2-1) by rear naked choke in Round 1 of their bantamweight scrap. In the beginning, it was the compact Morgan who used nice clinch work to get Pham to the ground. Once things hit the mat, Morgan was strong on top using great ground control to hold Pham down and then getting Pham's back. After a quick reverse by Pham to end up in Morgan's guard, Pham transitioned to the mount. Morgan rolled over, where Pham secured a body lock and then sunk in the choke for the victory.

The only way to watch this thrilling 11-bout card is to order it exclusively through the GFL Combat Sports Network at GFL.tv. Be sure to catch all of the action as Cage Fight presents Tri-State One on GFLVOD.
