Event Videos and Bouts
ShoFight returned to GFL as it presented ShoFight 26 from Branson, Missouri. This was an epic MMA card as it featured multiple title fights. With 11 bouts, 8 ended via stoppage so if you like submissions and knockouts this is the event for you. ShoFight has made its mark with MMA fans as it has been a launching point for tons of fighters as some of the best prospects in the Mid-South have fought on a ShoFight card.
In the main event, Rance "The Punisher" Foust (11-1) defeated Mike Breeden (3-3) via decision to win the middleweight title. In round one, Breeden came out landing tons of punches to Foust's face as they were coming right down the pipe. Foust countered with some knees and closed the distance as the two worked inside the clinch for most of the round. Later in the bout, Breeden got a takedown and delivered some ground and pound until Foust transitioned to the top and hit Breeden with some strikes. The third round was more clinching and dirty boxing as Foust started to land more strikes. Rounds 4 and 5 continued the pace and the fighting style as Foust and Breeden fought in close proximity working in the clinch and trading punches and knees. Foust got the nod from the judges, but this was a back and forth fight where both men can hold their heads up high as they put on a great main event.
In the co-main event, CJ "Groundshark" Hunter (18-9) defeated Aaron Roberson (7-4) via decision to win the ShoFight Featherweight Title. Hunter used some solid wrestling to get the fight to the ground on multiple occasions while controlling the top position and also landing the crisper strikes for most of the bout. Hunter almost got a rear naked choke at the end of the fight, but Roberson was able to defend as both me were completely spent after the final bell. This was a solid win for Hunter who beat a gritty Roberson. Both men showed great heart as they gutted through every round at a high paced clip and never slowed down.
