Full Contact Fighting Federation (FCFF) returned to Portland, Oregon as it presented Rumble at the Roseland 62. Two titles were up for grabs and a hotly anticipated Super Fight had the fight fans in the Pacific Northwest clamoring form more.
In the main event, John Bartlett (8-2) defeated Brysen French (2-1) by armbar in round three of their 185 lb title fight. Barlett adds another win in his title run versus a tough competitor who took him to the brink on more than one occasion. But it was Barlett's cage experience and cardio conditioning that allowed Bartlett to win the grappling game and finally sink in the fight winning armbar in the beginning of round three. This is a great learning experience for French who only had two fights going into the title fight with Barlett. He will be back in no time, but this battle belonged to the reigning and defending FCFF Middleweight Champion.
In the co-main event, Damon Jordan (4-1) defeated Travis Sue (4-1) by rear naked choke in round three to win the Interim Featherweight Title. It was a minor upset as previously Sue had buzz sawed through every opponent, but Jordan was a different kind of fighter and Jordan proved in a matchup on the ground, that he was the better grappler as he was able to tapout the formerly unbeaten Sue. This is now Jordan's second title in as many organizations. This bout was all it was built up to be and definitely a barnburner.
In other action, Damion Martindale (9-5) beat Darren O'Donnell (3-2) by arm triangle choke in round three in a heavyweight Super Fight. Both fighters packed quite a punch but it was Martindale's submissions that determined the outcome.
