Event Description
The North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS) made its debut on GFL.tv with Caged Fury 16 at the Morgantown Events Center in Morgantown, West Virginia. NAAFS is based in Ohio, and Caged Fury 16 was the promotion's first venture into the Mountain State. The card had 9 of 11 bouts end with either KO or submission and the main event was highlighted by a UFC veteran.

In the main event, former UFC fighter Sean "Big Sexy" McCorkle (14-2) defeated Mike Gordon (4-1) by arm choke in round one in a super heavyweight bout. McCorkle started off aggressive landing a stiff jab followed by a takedown and pass to half guard. From that position, McCorkle moved to mount and secured the choke while Gordon could only tapout. It was a great win for McCorkle who has reeled off 4 straight wins since his departure from the UFC. A couple more wins like this and McCorkle will probably be getting called back up to fight for the UFC later this year.

In the co-main event, Bellator veteran Joey Holt (10-5) defeated Nathan Hall (6-5) via TKO in the first round of a lightweight fight. It was an exciting bout while it lasted, as Hall tried for a guillotine in the standup, but Holt shook off the attempt and slammed Hall to the mat. From Hall's guard, Holt landed a couple stiff punches and the referee called a halt to the bout as Hall was covering up. Holt's ground and pound was great as he showed he is still primed and ready for the top organizations.

In other action, former NAAFS Champion, Josh Stansbury (13-4) defeated John Opfar (10-5) via guillotine choke in round one. It was a strong showing for the former champion. Expect Stansbury's name to be in the mix for future title shots at the light heavyweight championship.

With 9 out of 11 fights ending by KO or submission this is an explosive card that will whet the appetite of any MMA fan. Be sure to catch all of the action from this exciting card as NAAFS presents NAAFS: Caged Fury 16 exclusively at GFL.tv.
