Event Description
"Epic Fighting 14" returned on the GFL Combat Sports Network at 4th & B in San Diego, California. For their latest card, Epic Fighting collected some of the deepest local talent in the country to provide the fans of SoCal and worldwide watching live on the Internet, a great night of action with 14 amateur fights including a title fight in the main event.

In the main event, Andrew Lagdaan (5-2) defeated Jordan Salvador (2-1) via unanimous decision to win the Epic Lightweight Title in the fight of the night. The crowd was hot for this from the opening bell and it really added to the drama of the fight. Lagdaan was able to control the fight with his wrestling and top game using side mount to stifle most of Salvador's attacks. Salvador had his moments too including going for numerous submissions especially armbars from his back, and a nice hip toss and knees to the midsection in the final round. But Lagdaan fought his way out of the compromising position and ended up in Salvador's guard where he threw a series of punches. Maybe the promoter will put these two in the cage for a rematch as you won't find a more action packed fight than what these two gladiators delivered.

In the co-main event, Kyle Kleinschmidt (6-1-1) defeated Odon Alvarez (3-6) via TKO in the first round in to win the Epic Fighting Middleweight Championship. Kleinschmidt started off quickly by landing a takedown. Alvarez was trying to go for armbars and kneebars from the guard but Kleinschmidt was heavy on top. Kleinschmidt moved to the mount and unleashed a series of punches causing the ref to stop the fight. Kleinschmidt's ground and pound was too much for Alvarez. It was a strong win for the new middleweight champion.

You won't find more BANG for your buck so order this thrilling event. Watch the stars of tomorrow compete today. Be sure to catch all of the action on video on demand as Epic Fighting presents "Epic Fighting 14" on pay-per-view exclusively at GFL.tv.
