Elite 1 held their most recent event Saturday night at Casino New Brunswick in Moncton titled Heavy Hitters. There were over 1500 fans in the crowd, just short of a sellout. The fans were in for a treat as they got to see 10 matches on the card that did not disappoint. Even the pro guys on the card got a run for there money as the Amateur card shined early on. Here is how the night looked:

Fight of the Night - Jon Foster vs. Sung-Jin Lim
Knockout of the Night - Dana Dickeson
Submission of the Night - Phil St-Pierre

Chris Johnson vs. Dana Dickeson Round 1 Dickeson starts off the match with a leg kick. Johnson then moves in and Dickeson connects with a big right hand that puts Johnson on his back. The fight is over Dana Dickeson wins by KO at 17 seconds in the 1st round.

Phil St-Pierre vs. Chris Doucet

Round 1 The first few seconds of the fight starts off slow until St-Pierre tries for a front kick. Doucet avoids its and throws a kick to St-Pierre's shin. St-Pierre then tries to go for a spinning back punch but decides to stop half way through. Both men then circle the cage until St-Pierre goes in for a punch but ends up getting punched himself. St-Pierre then tries to go for a roundhouse kick but misses then slips and Doucet is able to move St-Pierre against the cage. St-Pierre is trying to get a hold of Doucet's arm but Doucet then tries to go for a double leg takedown. St-Pierre stuffs its and is able to turn Doucet around. St-Pierre gets an overhand right and both men break off the clinch. Both men try for a left right fist combo but neither men is able to connect. Doucet then throws a leg kick and then St-Pierre throws a few right hands at him. St-Pierre goes for a leg kick but Doucet looks to get a takedown. Doucet grabs one leg and he is able to slam him down. Doucet then throws a few shots to the body as he is trying to pass guard. Doucet is trying to move St-Pierre's left leg but St-Pierre is preventing him from doing any damage. Doucet is able to move around and get some punches to the head. Doucet then moves into side control. against the cage. St-Pierre is able to use the cage to get up and is able to get a guillotine. He then tries to spin out but it goes to the ground with St-Pierre on top. Doucet is able to get his head out but St-Pierre starts to work on some ground and pound. St-Pierre pushes his head down and throws a few more punches. He then stands up but Doucet gets a hold of his left foot. St-Pierre is still trying to work on some ground and pound while trying to escape. St-Pierre is on top punching Doucet and he lets go of the leg and both fighters stand back up. Both men circle the cage until St-Pierre throws a jab and then Doucet throws his own jab to push him against the cage. Doucet looks for another takedown but is not having much luck. St-Pierre then throws a body shot that puts Doucet down and he throws some more fists as the round ends but the fans thought the fight was over. The ring announcer comes in and lets people know we will see more of this fight.

Top MMA News scores a very close round but gives it 10-9 to St-Pierre

Round 2

St-Pierre starts off the second round with a left leg kick. St-Pierre then goes in with a right leg kick and a left jab. The shot sends Doucet down and St-Pierre gets on top of him. St-Pierre is able to work some ground and pound but Doucet is able to push him off and try for an up kick. St-Pierre is able to get on top again and grabs Doucet's left arm for an arm bar attempt. St-Pierre pulls on the arm and gets the submission win.
