Cut Throat MMA returned to action with Clash at the Kilt 2 from Elgin, Illinois. The 10-bout event was a hybrid card that featured both MMA and Muay Thai fighting. This was a great card and highlighted the deep talent pool in both MMA and Muay Thai in the Midwest scene as Cut Throat brought a great evening of fights on GFL.tv.
In the main event, David Booth (4-0-1) and Sam Ferguson (2-0-1) ended in a draw for the Cut Throat MMA Middleweight Championship. Ferguson, out of the Carlson Gracie camp, had a point deducted earlier in the fight, which hurt his chances at winning. The former Light Heavyweight Champion, Booth out wrestled Ferguson in the first and third round and the fight probably deserved to be called a draw. Cut Throat executives promised there would be a rematch and next time it would be scheduled for 5 rounds. Both fighters are still undefeated and if their second fight is as exciting as their first, then MMA fans are in for a treat. In another featured attraction, Danny MacDonald knocked out Marcus Hall in a Muay Thai match using a viscous kick, right hand combo. It was a back and forth fight, with many observers calling it an upset, but MacDonald proved he belonged in the cage. The only way to watch this thrilling 10-bout card is to order it exclusively through the GFL Combat Sports Network at GFL.tv. Be sure to catch all of the action as Cut Throat MMA presents Clash at the Kilt 2 on GFLVOD. |
