Canadian Cage Rage 8

Canadian Extreme Cage Rage returned with "Canadian Extreme Cage Rage 8" at the Moncton's Lion Centre in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. CECR is branching out of New Brunswick, Canada and is a solid proving ground for MMA in Eastern Canada where the fighters are separated from the other Canadian hotbeds of Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver and as such have their own unique fighting circuit. The card was highlighted by an action packed, back and forth main event, as well as several pro/am fights showcasing the rising talent in the MMA hotbed of the Canadian Maritimes.

In the main event, Gary Brown (1-1) defeated Storm Miller (0-2) via TKO in round 3 in a welterweight scrap. The bout had everything, great grappling and wrestling in earlier rounds with Brown controlling most of the action and some great striking, especially in the final round where Brown sent Miller down to the canvas with a hard overhand right as the referee stepped in calling a halt to the match. It was a fantastic close to a great night of fights.
