Event Description
The Gulf Coast's premier cage fighting event, Fight Force International, added another great show to its list with Blood & Sand X. The super-size, jumbo event was a 4-hour show with bell to bell action from the beautiful Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi, Mississippi. With even matchups, Blood & Sand X was a fun night that posted great knockouts and submissions for the MMA fans of the South.

In the main event, and a battle between lightweights, Jason Knight (4-0) defeated Johnathan Burdine (1-1) via TKO in Round 1 after both men set a fast pace in the standup. Knight connected on a powerful right hand/left knee combination in standup, which hurt Burdine and to which Knight then followed up with more punches and knees that sent Burdine down to the canvas with Knight landing several more unanswered strikes for the TKO victory remaining undefeated in his short, but spectacular career. It was a great night, for Jason Knight.

In other action, Harris "The Sandman" Stephenson (3-0) defeated Blake Miles (0-3) by guillotine choke in Round 2. These men no doubt put on a Fight of the Night. It was a tremendous battle from the start of the fight until the end. It was a back and forth contest with Miles wanting to keep the fight standing, while Stephenson was happy to be on the ground. In the first round, Stephenson was able to lock on a tight armbar that Miles refused to tapout from, even though his arm was bent at an unnatural angle. The injured arm bothered Miles for the remainder of the fight. Stephenson also locked on a triangle that once again, Miles was able to escape from and get back to his feet. After a misguided throw attempt by Miles in which Stephenson was able to get his back, the two battled it out on the ground for the remainder of the round, with both fighters throwing strikes in rapid fashion. The end came in Round 2 when Stephenson got another takedown, ending up in the full mount. From there, Stephenson secured a full mount guillotine and the resilient Miles was finally forced to tapout.
