Once again, the Asylum Fight League lived up to its reputation of putting on insane fights, and I do mean insane. There were closely contested split decisions, as well as several amazing first round stoppages, including a 5 second KO by Rick Guerrieri, which broke the Asylum Fight League record for fastest knockout. Relentless Danny Holmes, the previous record holder (10 seconds) was cageside to his record halved. Even he was impressed by Guerrieri's quick finish. In the main event, Greg Quarantello, who keeps getting better every time out, once again showed the dynamite in his hands, with a crushing KO over the very tough Mike Taibl. In my post fight interview with Greg, he told the crowd, which was going crazy, that he is going to turn pro. I can't wait to see Greg doing his thing with pro rules. He's a fighter to watch, for sure. As always, the Asylum Fighters left everything in the cage, and the packed house at the Golden Nugget went home fully satisfied. Are these fights insane? Hell yeah!
