Event Description
Virginia's longest running MMA and Muay Thai fight series returned to GFL as Combat Sports Challenge (CSC) presented CSC 35 at the Crowne Plaza - Richmond West in Richmond, Virginia. The event featured 11 kickboxing bouts in the professional and amateur ranks, highlighted by a main event for the WKA US K-1 Rules Title.

In the main event, Bellator veteran Francois "Bang Bang" Ambang defeated Joseph Kenneth by TKO do to leg kicks in round one to win the WKA US Pro K-1 United States Championship. Ambang chopped away at Kenneth's legs with bone rattling kicks that took away Kenneth's base and made it impossible for Kenneth to land anything of substance on Ambang. Finally Ambang landed one more perfect kick to Kennethâ??s thigh as he crumbled to the mat and the ref called a halt to the bout. Ambang is also a top level MMA fighter and proved in this bout that his striking is devastating in both sports.

In other action, Ani Hilditch defended her WKA Virginia State Strawweight Title against Lindsay Seamans by defeating the challenger via unanimous decision. Hilditch continued her run as VA State Champion with a solid win against a game competitor in Seamans. Both women where fast with their combos and exchanges, but Hilditch landed the cleaner strikes for the majority of the fight and was usually first to the punch. It was a great performance by both women as they showed a tremendous amount of heart and durability over the course of the fight.
