Nothing could prepare you for the Professional Grappling League's Summer Showdown, which featured an 8 man open weight super tournament including professional MMA fighters, Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialists, freestyle wrestlers and more. The PGL Summer Showdown set the bar for the future of sport grappling. Three 3-minute rounds of non-stop explosive action! Enter the PGL fighters: Isiah Miles (Brach's MMA)an experienced wrestler with explosive shots Vs Lewis Rumsey (Team Vicious/Scranton MMA) a 220-pound pro MMA who would fight anyone at anytime. Chris Lamont (Maxercise/Team Choice) a fighter known for his aggressive slams Vs Andrew Riddles (RABJJ/SJBJJ) a 230-pound pro MMA veteran and jiu-jitsu instructor. Bill Algeo (Hellfish/NJMA) AKA 'Billy the Kid', hauling an arsenal of slick takedowns and a relentless submission game Vs Sideco Honorio (Renzo Gracie Team/Fight Firm) a BJJ black belt, MMA fighter and submission specialist. Matt Dosk (Nick Catone/RABJJ) known for his aggression and punishing pace Vs Joe Solecki (Hassett's BJJ) 160-pound jiu-jitsu ace, who literally just graduated high school. Two alternates were also selected for an uncanny, barn-burning super fight! John Battle (Hassett BJJ) a stablemate of Joe Solecki, also similar in age, weight and technical ability Vs. Edwing Polche (Renzo Gracie Team/Fight Firm) a brown belt student of Sideco Honorio looking to represent his instructor and notch a place on the PGL roster.
