Steve "The Canadian Kid" Molitor (32-1, 12 KOs) makes the sixth title defense of two reigns when he travels across the pond to take on Jason Booth (35-5, 15 KOs) for the IBF Jr. Featherweight championship.
Molitor is a classy world champion with his only defeat being to pound for pound entrant Celestino Caballero but has recovered nicely from that defeat to regain his crown. Booth will have a strong backing by his British fans and has won eight in a row against top competition and will looking to duplicate what his countryman, Ricky Burns was up to pull off last weekend and that is to become a world champion. A terrific undercard featuring some of the best British talent will be in action which will include a fight for the Commonwealth Super Bantamweight title which will pit Matthew Marsh (13-2, 1 KO) against Kris Matthew Hughes (12-0, 1 KO) as well as undefeated Featherweight Martin Lindsey (16-0, 6 KOs) and former Olympian Tony Jeffries (7-0-1, 5 KOs) doing battle in a Light Heavyweight bout. |
