Event Description
Lou Neglia and Ray Longo presented World Championship Kickboxing with "Combat at the Capitale 28" at the famous Capitale in New York City, New York. The full rules Muay Thai card was anchored by two championship fights that were great examples of the growing enthusiasm for the world's most unique striking sport.

In the main event, Andrew Ball from Neglia Competition Team defeated James Harmony from Black and Blue MMA via decision to win the 185 lb Muay Thai Championship. Ball is an experienced fighter who mixed up his attacks well and was the aggressor in the fight. There was a decent amount of clinch work in this bout and both men did damage in the tight quarters but Harmony threw Ball to the ground several times, which didn't score any points, but did stop Ball's attacks from the position. Ball's most effective weapon was a straight front kick and he landed some nice punches including a flying straight left. It was a very exciting bout from both men, as they delivered a great main event.

In the co-main event, Stephen Regman from Team Tiger Schulmann defended his 168 lb Muay Thai Championship against Roland Barringer from Capital MMA & Elite Fitness via unanimous decision. Regman had the loudest cheering section of the night, as there is nothing like a Tiger Schulmann backed fighter. Regman used good spacing to land his punches and kicks throughout the night and seemed to win every round with his accurate striking. Barringer continued to attack as well and also landed some solid kicks and punches, but Regman was the busier fighter and racked up more strikes in each round giving him a comfortable victory via decision. Regman has been on a tear lately and continued to build on his already well rounded game by showing a precise level of striking as well as mixing up his attacks to keep Barringer off balance and on the defensive.

If you love nonstop, full-throttle striking, then "Combat at the Capitale 28" is must-see TV. This event goes hand in hand with Neglia's other combat sports venture, Ring of Combat, and give combat fans in the tri-state area another avenue to watch some of the best East Coast martial artists compete. Watch as the brave warriors display the science of the eight limbs and use punches, kicks, knees and elbows and do it the Big Apple on VOD. Order this event exclusively at GFL.tv.
