CHARLES UPSETS VASQUEZ ON HISTORIC BOXING CARD AT HARRAH’S IN CHESTER
NIGHT OF UPSETS HIGHLIGHT 1ST CASINO BOXING CARD IN PA AND FIGHTS TO BE SHOWN THIS WEEK ON WWW.GOFIGHTLIVE.TV

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHESTER, PA (JANUARY 24, 2011)—In what was the first ever boxing event inside the walls of casino in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Joey Eye Boxing Promotions in association with David Feldman put on a show to remember for the capacity crowd  at Harrah’s in Chester.

In the main event, Osnel Charles scored a razor thin majority decision over Victor Vasquez in a six round Lightweight bout.

The two waged war over the majority of the bout that thrilled fans.  Each man taking turns being the boss in the fight but it was Charles who had a few more moments to edge out the victory.

In the co-feature, Zeferino Albino ended an eleven fight winless streak and in the same fight may have ended the career of former Heavyweight turned Cruiserweight Johhn Poore by scoring a second round stoppage.

Albino pounded away on Poore as he basically closed the left eye of Poore with a steady barrage of punches until Poore’s corner stopped the fight before round three could commence.

In another upset, Corey White made a successful pro debut by scoring a third round stoppage over popular Joey Tiberi in a Lightweight bout.

Kyle White overcame a nasty cut around his eyes to win a split decision over Pete Yates in a Light Heavyweight bout.

Former world amateur champion Joey Dawejko scored a unanimous decision over late-replacement Taffo Asongwed.

Eric Draper scored a mild upset when he scored a four round unanimous decision over Ardrick Butler.

Debuting Stephan Burgette and Todd Eriksson fought to a draw.
