Ronica Jeffrey won the WBC Silver Featherweight title with a ten round unanimous decision over upset-minded Lindsay Garbatt.
Jeffrey boxed and moved well as she picked Garbatt apart from the outside and showed quickness on the inside. Garbatt, who has had upset victories in the past was unable to catch Jeffrey with anything of consequence and Jeffrey won by scores of 98-92, 98-92 and 97-93 to remain perfect at 11-0. Garbatt is now 7-6-1.
In the eight round co-feature, Dennis Hasson remained undefeated with an eight round unanimous decision over battle tested Daniel Judah.
Hasson showed terrific boxing skills as he consistently beat Judah, who has scored some big victories, to the punch and is now 15-0. Judah of Brooklyn, NY is 23-10-3.
Kevin Engel scored a second round stoppage over previously undefeated Anthony Caputo Smith in a scheduled eight round Light Heavyweight bout.
Smith was bleeding from the nose just ten seconds into the bout an d he could never fully recover as he was stunned by a left hook in round two which had Engel jumping on Smith and scored a hard knockdown. With blood leaking from his nose, Smith continued to eat punches until the fight was stopped at 2:11 of round two.
Engel of St. Louis is now 19-6 with sixteen knockouts. Smith of Kennett Square, PA is 13-1.
Local favorite Mike Tiberi (20-1) scored a six round unanimous decision over veteran Mike Walker (19-16-3) in a Super Middleweight bout.
Good looking Lightweight prospect Omar Douglas made it 6-0 with four knockouts as he stopped Joel Flores (4-4) in round three of their six round bout.
John Bowman (4-0-1) scored a four round unanimous decision over Steven Tyner (3-6-2) in a Super Middleweight bout.
Reuel Williams came off a four year layoff to score a four round unanimous decision over James Denson (5-10) in Light Heavyweight bout.
Joshua Arocho (2-6-2) stopped Jeffey Dorsey (Pro debut) in round three of their four round Featherweight bout. Dorsey is the grandson of Heavyweight legend Larry Holmes
