It was a terrific night for undefeated prospects at the Fitzgerald Hotel & Casino in Tunica, Mississippi as Olympians Deontay Wilder and Gary Russell remained undefeated with vicious knockouts. Prospects Dominic “The Blade” Wade and Alex Guerrero also remained undefeated with stoppages wins. Eric Hunter continues his ascent up the Featherweight ladder with a good stoppage win over Andre Wilson 2004 Olympic Bronze Medal winner Deontay Wilder (12-0, 12 KO’s) kept his perfect knockout streak intact as he took out Shannon Caudle with a two punch combination just sixty-four seconds into their Heavyweight bout. Wilder’s Olympic teammate, Gary Russell Jr. also remained undefeated as he scored three knockdowns on body punches as he needed just 2:56 to take out veteran Willie Villanueva in a Featherweight bout. Russell who has some of the fastest hands in boxing raised his record to 12-0 with nine knockouts. Alex Guerrero remained undefeated as he scored two knockdowns in round one and then finished Dustin Schnakenberg twenty-five seconds into round two in their scheduled four round Cruiserweright bout Dominic Wade scored a second round knockout over the gritty Freddie Montoya in an entertaining Middleweight bout. Wade dominated early as he knocked Montoya through the ropes. Montoya came back and showed some offense only to take a hard jab in round two that knocked him down face first and was counted out. Wade is now 9-0 with seven knockouts. In the main event, Eric “Outlaw” Hunter remained on a roll as he took out Andre Wilson in round four of a scheduled eight round bout. After an uneventful first two rounds, Hunter hurt Wilson in round three with a jab. In round three, Hunter solved the puzzle as he dropped Wilson three times with body punches. The fight was continued and moments later a thudding body punch stopped the fight and gave Hinter the victory and he is now 15-1 with eight knockouts. |
